Partnerships

ISM seeks to work in partnership with local New Zealand churches and other Christian organisations to witness to, serve, and disciple internationals.

In our relationships with government, educational and other secular organisations with which we interact, ISM will demonstrate its commitment to be professional, reliable, ethical and effectively serving international students.

ISM desires to establish and maintain effective relationships with home-country churches and organisations to help returning students re-integrate and grow as followers of Jesus Christ.

ISM has particular relationships with the following:

NEW ZEALAND IMMIGRATION SERVICE

ISM is listed under WG5.10 "Ministers of religion, missionaries and members of religious orders" which gives us approval in principal status for our overseas workers.

PATHWAYS BIBLE AND MISSION COLLEGE

We partner with Pathways Bible & Mission College in providing one and two year supervised internship diplomas for our international students.

BOARD OF REFERENCE

ISM of New Zealand also appreciates the services of a number of people who act as a "Board of Reference". These people bring godly character, recognition in their own fields, and understanding of ISM's ministry so that they are qualified to act as referees and advisors to the leadership and workers of ISM. The Board of Reference is an honorary role with members coming from throughout New Zealand and overseas.

NEW ZEALAND MINISTRY OF EDUCATION

ISM staff and volunteers assist in research and development in the international education sector in order to help ensure the welfare of international students in New Zealand.
